Is there a site where I can get some nice looking hex maps (dessert, city, urban, woods) Print them out and then use them for my own boards?

If you are PC inclined you can load up VASL and print out a copy of almost every ASL map in existence. At least the vasl version of them (which is pretty close to the real ones)

For Asl boards use Vasl (virtual asl). You can print boards out and even change boards with overlays, snow, seasons etc.
