Gang,
I've seen the cool 1/144 scale vehicles from Japan and now I've seen a 1/144 super tank (Rat?). It is ridiculous, looks like a sand crawler with two massive guns, comes with 5 little Maus tanks, and is just too cool. Does anyone make 1/144 german infantry? Thanks.

10mm/12mm figures are appropriate to use with 1/144 vehicles. There are many sources including Pendraken, Minifigs, and Wargames South.

Edit: Actually, I believe Pegasus makes pre-painted 1/144 infantry but it is very pricey, and no one I know uses it for gaming.

I didn't make that connection. Thanks for the info; this could be fun!

I use the Pegasus pre-paints for gaming (as well as Pendraken). So now you know someone who uses it.

I got mine for less than $4 USD a pack, so I didn't think they were expensive.

I have the Minifigs "12mm" figures, both British and German, and lots of the plastic Japanese tanks (as well as some Minifig and Arrowhead tanks) and they go together well. I also have a few Arrowhead figures, mainly artillery men, and they are nicely modelled but bulkier than the Minifigs. I also have some Pendraken infantry. Heightwise they are pretty much similar to the Minifigs, but, IMO, are not quite as well proportioned. They do paint up well though, as they have a lot of relief detail.
I game WW2 in 20mm, 1/144 (10/12mm) and 6mm. I think 1/144 gives best compromise of detailed figures and playing realism (in terms of figure to ground scale) on relatively small tables.

I also have minifig 12mm figures, and I like them a lot. They are well proportioned and cast in various poses.
