Hey folks!

Thought I'd share this one as I reckon it'll appeal to quite a few on here. Real easy realistic terrain flocking ….

All it took was two types of flock and a few brushes!

Tutorial as always … YouTube link

Hope it helps!

Good, one of the things that I find with digital photography and flash is that no matter how nice a hill looks to the naked eye, hills disappear in photos if they use the same materials as the base table, so going to several tones, especially to define slopes etc is useful.

Great tutorial, thank you.

I prefer to use the Woodland Scenics method which I think is simpler.

Do a basecoat with flock of prefered color.

After this is dry, sprinkle other colored flocks on top of it (very light sprinkling will give more subtle effect while sprinkling more flock will yield higher contrasts). When satisfied, use (Woodland Scenics') spray PVA glue (manual pump) to seal it.

Cheers guys :-)

@normsmith – yeah, I pretty much only use the lighter tone on slopes to highlight them from other terrain pieces.

@Lonkka1Actual – It's a good technique mate
