So no, I'm not ok with Armintrout exclusively hiring Asian transvestites to edit the site. I'm against the general effort to "normalize" what I see to be a form of mental illness. So I'm not down with his other site and it's agenda. It's the reason that on the handful of occasions I have needed to, I refuse to use the pronoun "she" when referring to an editor. I have heard from a number of people who want to debate concerning transexuals. TMP is not the appropriate venue for that. Please adjourn to our sister side, The Blue Fez: thebluefez.com |

I have a suggestion. How about another board or site where the people who seem to be impacted or offended between the two sites can go try to and reason it out leaving just miniatures topics on The MINIATURE Page. Then after the one or two dozen of you are all pooped out come back and tell us all about how this was resolved. |

I have worked as a mental health nurse for fourteen years in various locations. In those years I have never witnessed nor heard of, from fellow nurses/doctors of anyone receiveing treatment for mental health issues on the grounds of them being either transexual or a transvestite. Its one thread on frothers, it rambles all over the place then returns to TMP every so often. Im a member there; its a different experience. I dont post so much there as its more figure than game orientated but theres some clever and jolly decent folk do post there.
It can also be unbelievably funny and Ive picked up words that are now part of my daily vocabularly – Thanks Frothers! Different sites, different atmospheres – no need for TMP to define itself as Not Frothers, or vise versa, come to that. |
