Is the intention to sell these commercially? If they are your own modelling and then casting, congratulations on your skill.

However, I do note that you show a sledge driver for the Retreat from Moscow, which is actually a Westfalia figure, according to their catalogue.

It would help if you were to clarify your intentions here, as you could render yourself liable to prosecution, inadvertently I am sure.

Im not selling them. I just show my works. I dont mention where and how they could be purchased.
Just enjoy my non-profi blog.

Thank you and best regards.

Then your casting of those Badeners is excellent and frankly you should be doing this commercially! They are that good.

Congratulations again on your modelling and casting skills

I think there is a misundersting. I havent casted them, just sculpted. And the figures you see are already available for sale from the manufacturer who are producing them.

Anyway thank you for your appreciation.

I thought this was an enraged post about a recaster. "My figures are in production!" would have been a better post title.

:)

Very nice sculpts!

Gwydion04 May 2015 3:22 p.m. PST

Nice. I'll definitely be getting a lot of Badeners once they are available.

OK ,I give up ,who is selling these rather nice figures?

You sculpt very nice figures.I noticed on your blog a Genghis Khan and El Cid Figures. Are there any places that sells these figures or are they one offs just for yourself?

The Badeners will be sold by Murawski Miniatures as far they are available.
The others are sold by Ainsty Castings.

Now I think I understand and apologies if I have been dim. You have sculpted these figures for Murawski to cast, you did the sleigh driver for Westfalia to cast.

I did honestly fear that you were recasting someone else's work, which of course you can, as long as no sales involved.

You can see how impressed we all are and want to know how we can access some of these. I can only again congratulate you on what you have sculpted and shown us.

But here is a thought. Those dancers. Brilliant.

What about a dancing couple, from Duchess of Richmond's Ball? There is not a single 28mm female in "parade dress" from the Napoleonic/Regency Era. Some Spaniards and Westfalia's peasants yes, but a "Lady"….even Josephine! Nope, not a one……..

No you can't it's still copyright infringement.

In this case it wasn't an issue.

Oh no – someone has opened the can of worms – run no, while you still can…

Gwydion17 May 2015 3:47 p.m. PST

No can of worms – in the UK at least – quite clear:

Well worth airing and important for someone like Wehrwolfe2 who scuplts such beautiful creations. Now I would imagine home casting, copying someone else's work, would be a pretty unrewarding exercise anyway. I do confess though that I had thought, provided solely for personal use, however daft, the resulting blobs would not be infringing copyright. Clearly wrong and quite right too……….

Hopefully manufacturers are forgiving because I do note;

"Restricted acts
It is an offence to perform any of the following acts without the consent of the owner:
Copy the work.
Rent, lend or issue copies of the work to the public.
Perform, broadcast or show the work in public.
Adapt the work."

Adapt the work! Half my collection must be conversions of Plastic Perry miniatures……I hope the lads are forgiving

Probably hunting you down right now! grin
