Hello everybody!
Im stoked to finally reveal that New Zealand based fantasy artist and illustrator 'Johnny Fraser-Allen' of Weta Workshop and Flytrap Factory have joined forces to bring his wonderful fantasy world depicted in "The Gloaming" Trilogy to life on the tabletop initially as a tabletop miniatures skirmish game.

"The Gloaming" is Johnnys culmination of 8 years and countless hours of storytelling, writing, illustration and traditional sculpture. I was priviledged enough to see a lot of the behind the scenes work that went into the development of this world during my own time at Weta.

His work has featured in countless publications and "The Gloaming" has even had its own international exhibition. For those interested in the exhibition…

Flytrap Factory is honoured to get the opportunity to work with Johnny on this project and look forward many new projects ahead.
Please feel free to check out Johnnys facebook pages with respect to the Gloaming trilogy and many of his other works including the illustration of Evangeline Lillys' children book series "The Squickerwonkers".

The Flytrap Factory website will soon have a section dedicated to news and information regarding this joint project so feel free to drop by and check it out shortly

Following is a glimpse of one of the first initial sculpts for the tabletop game… entitled "The Troubadour" this dwarf character serves as one of the 'balances of nature' in the Gloaming setting.

Well I'm intrigued!

This will be FANTASTIC! That's a great sculpt. The Gloaming looks like a fascinating project. I must admit I wasn't aware of the Gloaming Trilogy until I saw it on your Facebook page. I look forward to learning more about the world and the factions. Count me in!

My only worry though is that this might delay the new Netherworld's Edge and Caveman vs Wild stuff?

Will ZombieSmith be part of this?

Baron Trapdoor04 May 2015 3:35 p.m. PST

There will be no delay on the Netherworlds Edge project Capt… which will go to Kickstarter in just a couple of weeks (Josh is just ironing out the last few details with Anthony and this is expected to launch by around mid-May) "Caveman vs Wild" is doing its own wild something something at present but will be bringing the meat to the table in the very near future so to speak…

…And yes in one way or another Zombiesmith will definitely be part of this as Flytrap and Zombiesmith are kinda now the unproclaimed siamese twins of the miniatures world!

:)

Thanks gents!
