All,
I just finished reading Conan Doyle's "The Lost World" and along with a renewed interest in pulp gaming, I am thinking about expeditions in South America. Any ideas as to what sort of figures would work for a South American equivalent of an Askiri?

depending on the year, Brigade Games makes some Sandinistas armed with Winchesters

I would think peons or maybe some of the new ranges of the great Paraguayan war (especially figures with the wrap instead of pants)

I'm thinking 1915 – 1935. Yes, The Sandinista figures might do the trick.

Native Indian tribes.

How about using some of the Copplestone Lost Worlds Indian figures? link
