Hello folks, Two recent posts on my blog about this, but I'll give you the punchlines here. Firstly a completed unit of FF Seargents, converted to Polearms troops.
link Twelve in total for Lion Rampant games; though for sure they could apply to other rules. Secondly I used some of the spare parts from the FF sprues to re-purpose the Conquest Games Norman Infantry into Feudal Yeomen:
link This mainly involved some new shields and different heads, but they look the part (that part specifically being late 13th century English parts). Hope you enjoy! |

Nicely done, both in the converting and the painting. What did you use for the pole arms? |

Pole arms were cobbled together out of the contents of the box, using spear and axe hafts as appropriate (cut down and extended), and carving the new blades from sections of sprue (I'm pretty good with a scalpel). Elbows and wrists were cut and repositioned to help with the anatomy, and spare crossbowmen limbs with open hands came in very *ahem* 'handy' too. |
