Got a few new Axis merchants done for my fleet. This time Italian and German. You can read about it in a post entitled Logistics on the Small Seas. Below are Santagata, Gioacchino Lauro (both of Achille Lauro), and Entella Mangiarotti (of Fu Gioconda & Enrico Ravano).
Next we have Dithmarschen with Scharnhorst.
Frigga (against the pier) and Oldenburg offload supplies under the watchful eye of destroyer Z-30.
If you're curious about the details they're on the blog. Hope there's something interesting here. |

They look very nice. Where's a Brit sub or a couple of Swordfish when you need 'em? |

The subs and sowrdfish are surely prowling about nearby 79thPA. The RN is on the job, but they have convoys to protect too. Resources sometimes get spread a little thin. Lot of cat and mouse going on. And maybe some cat jackal. (What hunts cats in the wild? Housecats are descended from an Egyptian cat species, I think, thus jackals make a certain sense. Maybe.) Thank you. :) Glad you like it. |

Merchant ships… An underdone sibject! Good job! |

Thank you jgibbons. I aim to correct the underdone merchant ship problem all by my lonesome. I enjoy being able to set out a large convoy's worth of merchants. Of course I feel like I should get a little more systematic about it as I have far too many Americans and far too few Brits, for instance. (Not that I've any shortage of Brits, but the size of the British Merchant Marine in comparison to anyone else's at the outset of WWII . . . well, let's just say it was impressive.) |

I love that camouflage on the Oldenburg, may I please know how you painted it? |
