Notice the Que? rules for SCW on the site while looking at the minis. Anyone ever use them? |

Yes. I played them once. It involved a lot of the guys running back and forth across the table, inflicting massive damage on each other and then suffering the same. It was a very mobile game. It is also, a single photocopied piece of paper, if I remember correctly. When played we remember thinking that it should have been called Que el ? |

I think Scott may be referencing playing with us in my basement…. In a nutshell, simple and fun. I'll write more when I get home from work…. Dave |

I have enjoyed a number of games with these rules……the 'activation' rules are great-I have used them for other games too! |

OK…home. Que? is a fast play, made for fun set of rules for the Spanish Civil War. They covers both sides of a piece of paper and achieve their objective. The activation is by cards, but unlike other games, when a card is flipped and units move and shoot, that card is returned to the deck and the deck reshuffled. This tries to simulate the chaos of the SCW. All the major factions are represented, each with it's own combat modifiers. Combat happens with a simple d6 roll with modifiers added. You shoot at me, I shoot at you. We both roll, compare results and combat results are achieved. They are NOT complicated, but there are even rules for mortar and artillery fire. On a scale of 1-10 for complexity, I'd give them a 2. If you're looking to 'get into' the SCW, I recommend them along with Irregular's Que? 20mm battle pack…and go nuts…get the expansion too! Can you say Trubia 75 tank, BABY!!

Que?! is an awesome little system that inspired me to write The Devil is Here! for WW1 miniatures gaming, and Irregular Miniatures actually published the crazy thing… Que?! is IMHO that good and that much fun. I played Que?! with our youngest to give him an intro into historical miniatures, and that sci fi video game obsessed late teen admitted he had a great time having his Republicans kick my fascista backside all over the place with his handy-dandy Soviet-supplied T-26 tank detachment (#%^#€ŁĄ$&!!! Red tanks!!!). Was and remains a great "gateway drug" into the period, historical miniatures, and miniature gamng in general, and as another has pointed out, you can run a La Trubia tank, so this game truly ROCKS!!
