Discussing Flames of War here.

I started out my WW2 Cossack collection by buying a friend's Battlefront ones. To them I added Old Glory Command decision Cossacks. Both are relatively the same build and height and have the same uniform.
To them I added the CD Russian army cavalry to distinguish mounted sappers, PTRD carriers, etc when mounted.

I needed some Tachankas, and found that Peter Pig's were cheaper, so I ordered another bunch from Brookhurst during a Peter Pig sale.
LO! and Behold!
The uniform is completely different. Peter Pig wear the caftan with loose sleeves, while the BF/CD wear the army uniform with fur cap.

I have written about this in the past on TMP with a different question.
I just thought I would post again to alert people who might be inclined to mix ranges.

Needless to say they are in different units. grin

John,

I am considering purchasing a pack of the Old Glory Command Decision Cossack cavalry. However, there are no images and the item description is somewhat lacking.

You have purchased some according to your post. So I was curious if might ask you what weaponry the miniatures carry?

Are they armed strictly with carbines/rifles, or is there a mixture of weapons?

Leadgend,

Thank you. The link and information you provided was very helpful.

Hello,

Can anyone tell me how many horsemen are in an Old Glory WW2 Cossacks pack (for 12 GBP on their site) ?

I need to buy some quickly and BF is obviously out of stock, but I need to know how many packs I need.

Many Thanks,
Dan

The 15mm options for Cossacks are sadly lacking. I can't find any artillery/ATG/HMG/mortar crews, ATRs, Sappers or Tank Commanders.

Old Glory 15's has 16 cavalry per bag I their other ranges where infantry comes at 50 per bag so I guess the Cossacks would be the same. You could always email them and ask.
