Looking at the rules, seems I need to give the Zens some battle armor to give them a fair fight against the UEDF.

Any suggestions on decent looking proxies that are more-or-less the right scale (about 1-1/2" to 2" tall)?

I'd prefer something not too pricey (plastic would be fine) that can take a base coat of spray primer.

What about robogear infantry… about 35mm tall and cheap:

If you do not care too much about scale, I was going to suggest Starship Troopers MI if you have them.

But the idea of the Zentradei is that they were a disposable force of troops. They were cloned and weapons mass produced on a large scale, and expended a lot like the bugs from Starship Troopers.

The Zentradei grand fleet did show up at Earth with 4 million ships, and lost because Dolza's fortress and Dolza himself was destroyed.
And the Invid were fighting against this? How big was the Invid fleet?

So what happened to the real Zen armored soldier figures? Did the original figures not get funded or did they not get produced yet? Sorry I missed the news.
Cheers,
Mike

They will be in Wave 2, I believe.

Wave 2 is still 'on the way' but I'm not holding my breath. I'm also thinking they may wind up being pricier than I'd like.

Insomniac – good suggestion. Just wish those were a little 'beefier' to represent power armor.

Haywire – I was thinking that SST-MI might work. I have some so maybe I'll break them out.

Still need something for the power armor, though.

I'm keeping my eyes out for 1-1/2" to 2" tall shogun-style robots from the Japanese vending machines. Sooner or later I should find something.

Didn't someone a while ago suggest some of the infantry in the elfy faction in Warmachine (or Hordes) as Zentraedi substitutes? They have that curved armour thing going on.

Something like these guys:

Or these:

Or these for powered suits:

There are some others as well.

They wouldn't be cheap, but might have something in the right style following a suitable head swap.

Those would work as well… if you do not care about scale.

AT-43 guys are 1/48 scale supposedly, so they are a bit closer

Wave 2, so probably the end of the year or so.
