We will be kicking off our Kickstarter for the second edition of Stars of Empire and the Hive, Queen and Country land vehicles book. I just wish to let everyone know that we intend upon bring Arun's amazing drawings to production and giving the gaming community a hugely detailed VSF Universe and over 100 designs for VSF/steampunk fighting machines as well as unit organizations, doctrines for their use and even color schemes and markings. Please stay tuned for updates as we move forward! |

The Mk I was the first series produced fighting machine in the HQC Universe. It was used in the attempt to save General Gordon but it was a failure due to mechanical flaws. It used far too much water and was terribly susceptible to overheating and to sand and dust. Later versions were greatly improved and it functioned far better in the temperate and less sandy climes of England, being used during the first part of the Anglo-Hive War before being replaced by more modern and powerful machines. The amphibious vehicle was designed for the Royal Marines after some of their experiences during the Anarchist Revolt in France in the late 1880s. During cutting out operations and times when the Royal Navy occupied French ports during that conflict the Naval Brigades often found themselves fighting against French armored units, both loyal to the Bonapartist regime and ones that had declared themselves Anarchists. In several cases the Landing Forces were overrun by armor or were forced back to their ships. Terry |

Has anyone professed interest in trying to turn any into playable models? I see you're posting on both 6mm and 15mm, though I think I'd be more interested in 15. Oh, hello, Mike! Doug |
