Photos of my WIP 28mm Vikings. Friends of mine told me about SAGA. They have Anglo-Danes and Vikings. You only need about 40 figures. I now have 140 Vikings. I need 24 more for my Warlord army.

But that's enough 28mm Vikings for at least 4 SAGA armies, ugh!

SAGA is an excellent Pick Up Game ruleset. Army size varies. Most games are 4 or 6 points respectively. One point = One Unit. Example:

Vikings Army 1

3 points of warriors

24 models in 3 groups of 8 (1 pt for 8 warriors)

2 points levy, bow + spear

24 models in 2 groups of 12 (1 pt per 12 levies)

1 point thanes/huscarls

4 models in 1 unit (1 pt per 4 huscarls)

free warlord

That gives you a balanced army which comprises 53 models and 6 pts. Some people play bigger games of 8 points a side (much fun) I have even seen a battle report of a 12 point per side game.
