Reading about the First Battle of Petersburg, also known as the Battle of Old Men and Young Boys, and the Battle of Griswoldville I was wondering what would be the best miniatures to use to represent these "old men and young boys" for 28mm

Hlaven23 Apr 2015 8:06 a.m. PST

Maybe Redoubt miniiatures

Go with some Old Glory 25mmm for the boys and 28mm Redoubt for the old men.

Yes Redoubt, the Cadets figures are great and they and the normal troop types all come with the swoppable heads system. Just wish they would fix some of their moulds. All their ranges are still great.
Cheers

Thanks for the quick replies. I was thinking about Redoubts Cadets but they don't seem to have an image of them and I don't know how they would square up next to a 28mm figure. Another aspect of the Petersburg battle was that walking wounded were sent in, does anyone know if there are marching wounded figures. The only ones I can find have half on their feet and half on the floor

Not sure if the link will work, but I commanded a unit of Virginia Reserves at the Sailor's Creek reenactment a few weeks back. We were one of the "old Men and boys" battalions
