Has anyone got any info on when if ever Ian Heath might finish a couple more books on the 16th Century? I vaguely recall that he originally intended to do 3 or 4 books on the 16th Century. All of his books are great but the 16th century ones are especially so.

The galleys are probably in the Foundry Secret Hideout, along with the mysterious ACW molds, the un-pre-re-released SYW molds...

I have all of his books 16th and 19th century series in my store. The WRG series on Ancients-Medeival are in the store's research library.

Yes please ask Ian if there is any hope of seeing any more of the books?

I can't believe its been over two years since I first posted this Question, so once again has anyone heard anything about the other books in the series being released?

No.

Short and to the point, I do still wonder what happened, since I got the impression that the books were already written, or very near completion. Oh well one can always hope…

Real shame too. Great time for more info on the French for the War of Religion. I have been wanting to pain armies for this clash. But really not much info out there.

Does anyone know if Foundry really owns the rights to these books, and could we all somehow get together and encourage them to publish them or release them. I know I would be willing to even pay the outrageous rates charged when books are self published.

As well as the costume details of the Landsknechts (which is covered in the two specialist Osprey books), think that everyone would be interested in the analysis of battles and styles of combat, that is a feature of the other Heath volumes. If there was a French Wars of Religion volume, this could be an incredible book.

What else is there available .. Charles Oman from 1937 ??

I just got the volumes 1 and 2 from the Foundry book bonanza discount, and have to admit that they are pretty awesome!

However, the sales of these books might have been a bit on the slow side – it looks like the books I got were still from the original print runs, from 1997 and 1999.
