She certainly looks it but I have to wonder at the way they have set the spritsail, and why they seem to be using it so much – as if it was the main way-maker. It looks painfully close to the water and if the vessel begins to pitch they will have to get it in pdq or risk it filling with water and pulling the vessel down at the bow. I have to wonder they are using this so much rather than the more conventional sails on the masts. But then I know all about it after all. I certainly would not like to try to sail a three master with a traditional sail plan! |

….. By the time Hermione reaches Boston, Constitution will be in the old Boston Navy Yard dry-dock for her big 3-year re-fit; the dry-dock is nearly as old as Constitution! But it would be really nice if they were to put Hermione @ Constitution's customary and nearby quayside berth next to the museum. July 11-12 in Boston. It will probably be a mob scene. B |

yeah its 4th of july weeked in new york. im hoping the weather is nice to go see her in philly because i wouldnt want to brave that weekend in new york haha! |
