Been looking for standards for my 15mm Renaissance collection and came across this range. Disappointingly, very few pics of their flags on their website but they eight sheets which interested me enough to take a flyer. Anyway, headed through the checkout process. 8 flag sheets at $3.00 USD USD ea., no problem. Shipping from US to Canada….$29.00. Order cancelled.

I don't know whether that price is indicative of US international postal rates or merely the foibles of an automated check out system, though having just received a rather large package from Wyrd with far less postage required, I suspect the latter. Regardless, I can't justify spending $29.00 USD in postage on a package which should be no larger than a birthday card and where I don't really know what I'm getting, both in terms of the actual banners on the sheet and the quality of those banners.

Whatever happened to the correctly spelled word, "whine"?…

Don't you mean "whinge", GWA?

Why don't you try to actually contact them and see about shipping? Mail costs between the US and Canada are absurdly high right now though.

A lot of companies have a minimum mailing charge on their website.
As Bashy suggests send them an e-mail or call and ask about mail charges for the flags.

$29 USD is a lot. The first ounce of a package is about $7.25 USD, with an extra $1 USD or so per ounce after that. They can't go in a stamped envelope if you order more than one or two. But 8 flag sheets could ship for $10 USD or less.

It sounds like an auto check-out FUBAR of some kind. I checked on shipping a hardback book to Canada for a guy and the price came to $16.00 USD. Give 'em a call or send them an email; I am sure they can do better on the shipping.

Postage is calculated on weight and sometime size of the parcel.

It is near impossible to correctly calculate postage for every possible combination of items in your cart and do that correctly.

Contact him. He could probably ship you the items for less than $9 USD for first class mail insured (rate would be based on weight.)
