Hi all, I would like to play scenarios in North Africa and/ or Ukrainian Fronts focused on mechanised warfare with infantry for support. I'm interested on a micro armor wwII rules set ideally 1:1 (for vehicles, squad for infantry), up to battalion (or little more) level with the following characteristics (if any): 1. Focused on Command and Control 2. Simple mechanisms of fire and combat (no full of charts and modifiers) 3. Unpredictable sequence of play 4. Preferable no IGOUGO I play a lot of interesting rules with the above characteristics but all are focused on infantry (IABSM, CrossFire etc) not so friendly to mechanised combat with 20-30 vehicles for each side on the table. I' d love to hear your suggestions, Vaggelis |

Fireball Forward I think meets your criteria. |

Best African rules I found for WWII were to convert AH's Tobruk to micro armor. 1 hex = 1 inch and go from there. It was limited in time frame and weapons choices but very enjoyable. |

Another Fireball Forward recommendation. The Gazala scenario booklet covers fighting in the desert in slightly more detail than the core rules (a couple notes for terrain, spotting, and dust). |

Mein Panzer fits your criteria. |

Maneuover Group would fit the bill but it is IGOUGO which of course makes it an unpredictable sequence. It is definitely command and control oriented. There are no army lists for this specific set of engagements but the rules are designed to allow you to derive the specs from actual, or speculative data. As always get the bulletins and the QR sheets free to give a rough idea of the system (they are free) Have fun in your search and let us all know what and why you chose home what you did. |

Try the free set of 6mm rules, Panzer War. panzer-war.com You will find that these doesn't work well in miniature play. 2. Simple mechanisms of fire and combat (no full of charts and modifiers) 3. Unpredictable sequence of play |
