Hi all,
I have just completed the first of two battalions of the 4th Grand Duchy of Warsaw Regiment that was present at Talavera.

The regiment acted as the tactical reserve for Sebastiani's IV Corps and would go on in the following year to prove its combat value.

Nice! A great looking unit. I've been wanting to do some in 3mm to get some more color in. Pity they didn't have czapkas though, adds a lot.

Very nice JJ. How many complete battalions do you have in your collection now?

Thanks for your comments chaps.

Yes, sorry I normally reference all the manufacturers that I have used and I labeled the post but did'nt reference the flag which is from Adolfo Ramos.

As regards numbers of battalions in the collection, lots. I haven't done a count, but all the British for the Vimiero and Talavera campaigns bar two to do. I still have 24 battalions of French in bags at the moment.

The bulk of the collection should be on show for the full Talavera game.

As far as Czapkas, yes they are attractive, but just about every Polish unit is depicted wearing them and I think the nice thing about the Peninsular War is the variety and differences in dress that were seen in a very long war.

Next up Talavera Night Attack Game two.
