Players will attempt to expand their influence on a newly discovered planet by building the most settlements and using mysterious alien technology. To win the game, you'll have to plan your turns carefully. The tasks you'll assign to your spaceships, the correct use of alien technology, and the choice of settlement locations on the planet will all be important decisions…"

Got it – it has spawned a profusion of expansions and the original game for 2-4 players is good enough I am loathe to get into expansions (which is where the extra two players come from). Not sure I like the ship out lines for the dice on the new printing of the board.
