Of course! It's not a "fashion statement", it is one of practicality. Gloves and/or gauntlets makes it easier to retain a grip on the reins, handle heavy wooden chests, trails, move fallen branches, etc. without injuring the hands. |

If the picture is of a driver at the Battle of the Wilderness then that might be OK. Remember, they were a week into the campaign. Stuff wore out pretty quickly, however. |
