Wherin I endeavor to present a mostly complete accounting of the bold voyages of the HMS Titan's Uranus at Adepticon 2015. Marvel as she bests the wicked Spaniards and devious French, triumphs over mutiny and pirates and even survives the dread ghost ship and the fearsome Kraken! link An excellent game put on by admirable people resulting in much merriment for the lucky participants.

The title. There is no amount of mind bleach that will get that out of my mind! That said, nice looking game! |

What an awesome game! Many thanks for taking the time to write a most informative report and post the the photos. |

Now, why can I hear this being quoted somewhere within the game: "The more you tighten your grip, the more will slip through your fingers."? |

Wow, what a game! Those ships at that scale makes it look like a Cecil B. DeMille epic! The rules look interesting as well. I donīt think I could manage such a large undertaking, but even something smaller would be fun. Great title by the way.

Glad you folks liked it. I was really impressed by this game. I think that every ship in the game could probably tell a unique tale that would be as interesting as mine. I can't claim credit for the name of the game or the names of the ships, most of which had similarly creative names. All that belongs to the team that put on the game. I've linked to the creator's blog at the top of my blog post. They just posted a HUGE post of additional pics of the game including alot of neat islands and ships that weren't a part of my story. As for the scope, the figs on the ships are lovely, but really just for show. the game could probably be played as small a scale as you'd like. |

OrdinaryBass, Our crew is always glad to hear the adventure comentary in AAR's (pun intended, aarrrrrrr!). We are jazzed you had a good time and we hope to entertain again at Adepticon next year. We are now working on our next game, "The West Gone Wild", containing simple trigernometry, horribly inappropriate town names, and every western movie trope we can stick in one event.
It won't be easy accurately portraying the majesty of the American west, so we're just going to follow in the foot steps of Mel Brooks and Seth McFarlane to lampoon it. It may take us two years to finish but it will be our next giant game event. Wingnut |

Thanks Wingnut! I had a great time with FoS and I'll definitely be looking forward to trying the "West Gone Wild". If the game isn't ready next year, will you folks be running Fistful of Seamen again? |

Ordinarybass, We will be running FFoS at Adepticon as long as they have the room and resources to spare. Hank Edley and the crew at Adepticon made our performance possible so let them know you had a great time. More historical gamers/game masters should consider this venue. Wingnut

Glad to hear it. We've already submitted our AAR to Adepticon and they've added it to their event coverage. Adepticon seems to be widening it's tent of late. It was my first time, but according to my buddy who went with me it's become much more open to historical gaming and more obscure sci-fi and fantasy gaming. I was able to run a Mech Combat game (not battletech or robotech) in 28mm this year. |
