Have only cracked the box and been reading the inserts, but I'm beginning to wonder about how to deal with the tripods.

The dirty, stinkin' Earthers appear to be similar to FoW.

I will want to take them to the store, and possible to conventions. Any tips on what works best for cases, and maybe even tripod assembly?

Thanks!

Doug

The AQMF website does have assembly instructions. I put my first ones together just using the box as a guide and found it quite easy.
There have been many suggestions on Tripod storage and transport….the most interesting was by someone that suggested using the box inserts that they make for glassware. I just put down some shelf liner in a deep plastic case as found in places like Walmart, Target etc, and then be careful

box inserts that they make for glassware

suddenly reminded me of those capped plastic tubes that are sometimes used for glassware, as well.

I'll go check the website now.

Thanks!

I have a deep plastic box that I have lined with a magnetic sheet. I have attached a circle of LITKO flex steel to the bottom of the tripod bases. Voila! Tripods are ready to transport.

I considered the magnetic sheet but decided not to because of the stress when lifting off of the sheet.

I used to transport 1:1250 sailing ships via magnetic strips. Vibrations from vehicle transport caused masts and spars to detach. Was in constant maintenance mode with glue for these ships. My experience.
