Painting Battle Honour's NKVD Command

We may be sending these WWII Russian figures off to Vancouver for painting, but they'll eventually reach Thailand - because that's where DJD Miniatures conducts operations...

I've recently returned to the wargaming scale of my youth – and trying to go all plastic.

After discovering the following very useful TMP thread, I can get my hands on plastic 1/72 German and Russian crews

Does anyone know of a British plastic tank crew set? Otherwise I may have to go for some metal Britannia Minis – or succumb to the siren call of some AB :)

I like Lancer miniatures tank crews. They are in sleeve order so they would work for the Desert and Italy. heck, they would work for Europe in the summertime too.

This guy, for instance. link

If you need guys climbing all over the tank, then AB or Britania would work. If you are looking to mix with plastic soldiers, I'd stick with AB. A bit better proportioned.

The HAT British tank rider set has 8 tank crew half-figures, 4 each of two different figures. They're designed to be popped out of the hatch of a tank.

All the hat crew sets are well sculpted.

For bailed out tank crew, rather than use a marker or counter I make use of all those spare, otherwise useless officers waving pistols around that you get in the infantry sets ;)

Battlefield Miniatures has a very nice British Tank crew:

They also have an SPG crew.

Thanks guys.

Was particularly interested to learn of the HAT plastic set, Murvihill, but sadly no one seems to have this in the UK

I've had luck asking local dealers to order from HaT, or ordering for myself directly from HaT.

Thanks Grumble, I'll give that a try :)
