There is a 16th century Persian arquebusier in Farud and Tukhvara view the Iranians from a mountain top from the Shahnama of Shah Tahmasp I of Persia (or Houghton Shah-nameh), c. 1522-1540

It is the only contemporary illustration of an early 16th century Persian arquebusier or musketeer I have come across. His red hat (turban?) is similar to a cavalryman's in the same miniature but does not appear in other available miniatures from this shahnama.

Does anyone have a contemporary illustration of early 16th century Persian arquebusiers or musketeers?

I'm not sure early 16thC Persian arquebusiers would've presented any kind of uniform appearance.
