The AVID Assistant Kickstarter for Squadron Strike and Attack Vector: Tactical is going well. We want to add two huge functionality increases--Mode 1 (cinematic) plotting and Mode 2 (vector) plotting, which are new stretch goals.
By wiring in the Vertical and Horizontal Plotting grids and adding a few more screens, this upgrades the AVID Assistant from a reference tool to a nearly fully automated play aid for Squadron Strike. It won't track Action Points for you and it won't track weapons plotting and recycle times, but those are the only things it won't plot.
While Mode 1 and 2 plotting won't be enough for Attack Vector: Tactical players, those stretch goals put a lot of the wiring in place to allow all sorts of support for AV:T. So, AV:T players have a definite reason to throw a little more money at this.
The native Android app for the AVID Assistant is now funded, so you will see it. Thanks to everyone for helping us hit the $8,500 USD stretch goal with 6 days left. This is going so well.
All of you Apple users need to get in here and boost your pledges! A native iOS app is the $9,500 USD stretch goal. The iOS version is technically trickier to produce than the Android version. The iTunes store costs more to get into, which is why the fourth stretch goal is higher than the third one.
