Anybody else seen these, does anybody have an idea on the scale?

I've seen them described as 'maybe 1:48'.

One strange thing is the Challenger II box has a German Leopard II on it….I thought that they might be useful as a base for conversions, knocked out tanks etc.

I have the "US Tank" one. Very, very low detail, poor fit of parts and only vaguely resembles the source material. Overscale for 28/32mm stuff. Only useful for conversion fodder for me. May try and turn it into some sort of OGRE/BOLO for my 15mm stuff, but even that will take a lot of work.

They were also at my local Poundland (guess how much for…)

Thanks Goober, to be fair I'm not expecting much from them, except a bare bones base for conversions.

I found a pic on lead adventure

That barrel would need replacing of course.

The Challenger one looks like a good cheap starting point for conversions if you can find them at a cheaper price than ebay (the works had them for £1.49 GBP but are out of stock), detail looks similar to some of the Zvezda 1/100 snap kits.

Anyone seen these available on the other side of the Atlantic?

I did some looking, but I did not find a US vendor.

Looks like the snap together kits "Grafix Clip Kits" of tanks were selling for as little as 1.49 pounds. But are sold out:

I am in the US, so I do not know this vendor. The only other sources I am finding are on Ebay.

Grafix does have some items on Amazon, but not the tanks

I have just assembled mine, using a 'scale models' app online, it appears to be 1/56 th……….I also have an Apache that turns out to be 1/100…..spot on for 15mm games……..

I've just ordered an 'American Tank' so I guess I'll find out soon enough how it fits in with my nefarious plans :D
