Shouldn't be such a shock. Lots of good fodder for games. Now, if someone will just produce some nice Strykers (especially the MGS model), and some BMDs in 12mm, we'll be golden. Thinking of pitting my M-1s and Bradleys against some T-80s and a handful of T90s I have, in the interim. Some T-72s might show up as well, with invisible ERA, but at that scale, it shouldn't be too noticeable. Given some tips from others on the Ukrainian/Crimean situation, I can pit my T-72s vs. T-80s against one another too. Now, I just need to figure out how to fund the other IFVs, recon vehicles, and perhaps some infantry as well. |

Yes, I know, Armand. No worries. Found 1/144th scale Strykers on HLJ. The are in resin, at $25 USD – $30 USD a pop, but they do produce quite a few variants, including the nice, MGS (Mobile Gun System – think 105mm gun in a remote-controlled turret, on the top of the LAV), and the do look very nice. So, unless you are an oil tycoon, or otherwise independently wealthy, it'll be rather expensive to field even a platoon of these babies. Hopefully, someone will produce them in plastic, or metal, instead, soon, at a bit more reasonable price. |
