Who makes good 28mm Norman Spearmen? The best seems to be Foundry (I prefer spearmen at attention, simply as an atheistic), but the prices are pretty steep. Not Games Workshop steep, but still too much. I've considered Old Glory, but their poses seems rather too energetic for a proper shield wall. Who else makes norman spearmen that are not too expensive, and would be similar in size to Old Glory and Foundry?

Crusader make some nice ones.

If you are in the US you can get them from Age of Glory for now.

Also Conquest Games make some nice ones as well.

Its funny, i just remember I went to school 40 years ago with guy named Norman Spearman, the connection never occured to me until just now

What makes standing spearmen particularly atheist?

As for models, what about these Perry sets:

Conquest Games also produces a set of plastic Norman foot, if you want something even cheaper.

As a plural, shouldn't that be 'a set of plastic Norman feet'?

If you still want Foundry ones I have three 24 man units of unpainted standing Norman Spearmen with command by Foundry that I never got around to painting for my Dark Ages campaign.

However these are not the the earlier Foundry figures but the later range now sold as CastingRoom on ebay.

I am looking for $36 USD per unit of 24 or $95 USD for the lot.

Look under Normans on this list. Pretty much all of them will have some spearmen……

My guess is that autocorrect mangled "aesthetic".

He didn't sit next to Norman Knight did he?.

Griefbringer & rebelyell2006 – yes, it was spell check.

On another note, has anyone actually bought any of the Old Glory Norman infantry sets (specifically, the Medium one). If so, how good are they? I'm having a hard time finding good pics of them, or of any of Old Glory's 28mm Normans.

Black Tree has some spearmen that still pass for Norman in my opinion, and they are great sculpts. They are in the early feudal range I think.
