These look pretty cool!

Great for VSF stuff, I'd imagine.

You can build them like this too:

They have that awkward walking look of retro sci-fi robots.

If you got the kit it looks like you would have a lot of parts left over to convert some other figures to make them VSF too.

I'd imagine these would work well with the Warlord plastic Brits or even the plastic zulus.

The new AdMech stuff is very cool.

With the hind legs looking Tau-ish and the head looking like a Tau drone, maybe I'll get a unit or two for my Tau! Forget the dark future – my Tau are colourful and eclectic!

Think they might look better with some human 'parts' as options. Do understand the fluff behind them, sort of, but for other conversions would be nice to have some vestiges of their former human selves. Tools or 'barehanded' would be good too. Are those in there?

Oops, is see they are 'Infiltrators'. I'm guessing they have engineer nerd-types too? (no judgement on engineers, but pocket protectors, birth-control glasses, and a slide rule would be cool on these models).

I could use their legs. Bodies, not so much.

Nice looking figs. Again-plasma!

So, $45 USD for 5 figures?

I guess that isn't unusual for this scale/size?

Not my scale/size and not my setting/style but full of potential for some small elite units like I would expect "infiltrators" to be.

Or massive bits box usage.

Those are cool. Pricey, but cool.

$9 USD for a 40mm figure that well sculpted really isn't that bad. Especially when you consider the number of parts you are getting as well.

If you have nothing else to do with them then it might not be worth it, but if you do it seems pretty cheap for that much conversion potential

DLIinVSF05 Apr 2015 1:14 p.m. PST

Well you can't doubt the skill of the sculptors but I regret I refuse to get to get dragged into the GW dark web however shiny their new things are ;)

I find it pretty high. Number of 'parts' usually means more effort in assembly, though extra 'bitz' is a plus.

May I suggest room in VSF for these, mostly because most of the poses look really awkward to me, and with the proper skill, could be made to look more so?

I tend to prefer my clockwork automatons to be gangly and about to topple over. Or, slow moving bricks. 40K has plenty of those, as well.

Really not interested in them at all.

Plus why the Robe? they are robots and don't need clothes.

Mute Bystander06 Apr 2015 4:24 p.m. PST

Badge of Office?

The Angry Piper07 Apr 2015 5:43 a.m. PST

I like them. A lot.

Mithmee07 Apr 2015 7:23 p.m. PST

Could be good for Imperial Assault though.

Would make decent robots.

GW pricing is part of it, but a lot of the scifi/fantasy 28mm makers are approaching or exceeding that. It's just that most of them don't require large numbers of $10 USD-per-figure units.
