I have a friend who lives in the Dallas metro area and he is a historical miniatures gamer. He says he can't find any other historical miniatures gamers in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area so I am reaching out to any individuals or groups who might be in the area. My friend plays in mostly 28mm scale and likes the Seven Years War period in particular and secondly Napoleonics. He is also interested in naval gaming particularly pre dreadnought in 1/3000 scale. Any groups or individuals out there?

I'm in North Richland Hills, but I've been pretty much a 100% solo gamer the past few years, and our interests don't really seem to match.

I will say he should stop by Texas Toy Soldier (in Dallas), they're constantly playing games over there. I've done it before, and had a good time, but it's quite a haul from a house.

Hope that's useful.

V/R,
Jack

In addition to Texas Toy Soldier, which is in Addison, there's Area 51 in Grapevine & the DFW Irregulars do a thing on Meet-Up. If you join the LSHMS-DFW yahoo group, you'll find a lot more historical gamers.

I work weekends, so I don't get to game often, but I do take time off for Texicon at the end of June.

If he likes naval gaming, Jeff Hunt of Portsmith Miniatures often puts on a game at Area 51 from time to time. Jeff Key ran an ACW Ironclad game at Texicon last year.

Hope this helps.
