Dear List

Unfortunately I have received news from a credible source that Pat Condray has passed away.

This is very sad. I first met him in 1963 I believe at a war game convention in the Ben Franklin Hotel I believe.

I can't think of war games without Pat. But beyond that he was great guy and a wonderful human being and a very good Christian who tried to help everyone he met.

Very sad. I had just gotten to know him a little via purchases this year.

I had the pleasure of meeting his Grandson and speaking with both of them at Cold Wars for quite a while. You could tell he loved having his Grandson there. RIP Pat.

Very sad news indeed. A straight up nice guy and very knowledgeable in the WSS and SCW. Today, our hobby is greatly diminished. May he rest in peace.

The last of the HMGS Triumvirate. Spent quite some time talking with him at Cold Wars, today I wish I would've spent more. Praying for his family.

HMGS Triumvirate ? Well, Pat could have been that all by
himself !

Never had an encounter with or a conversation with Pat
but that after which I had many 'So that's what
he meant…' moments.

Gonna miss him a TON. RIP, my friend…

As an Irish saying goes, "May you rate a mansion in heaven." And in Pat's case, it needs a good wargame room. RIP, old friend.

I met Pat Condray back when he was marketing Editions Brokaw and he was always the nicest and most patient, answering all my questions [even the stupider ones] about the GNW.

RIP

He was one of the true gentlemen of our hobby and there are very few of those left.

My(our)old friends since the 1970's from the hobby passing far too soon since last year's Historicon:
Pat Condray
Jay Hadley
John Hill
Bob Coggins

I will miss all of you very much.

Pat was one of the good ones. He'll be missed.

He was a grumpy and opinionated old codger whom I enjoyed talking with every chance I got at conventions.

RIP, sir. I'm sorry we did not get one more chance to roll dice and kvetch over ACW Ironclads…

I should have bought those extra SCW figures I wanted from you last year, like you said.

Pat will indeed be missed. I bought many of his SCW figures and he was always happy to answer questions.
