I'm starting a new HYW project, and I'd love to put arrows in my longbowmen's hands and string up their bows, but I can't find any individual arrows for sale. Does anyone make these?

Cast arrows would tend to be too thick. Even separately cast lances tend to have mould lines. Thin brass rod would be better – perhaps 0.4mm. If you really want flights, a dab of glue on one end and flattened to shape would work.

I'd use plastic rod…. or better (cheaper) yet get one of these and cut the bristles off…

Sewing pins – the really cheap super thin ones – might work well.

I use piano wire. It is thin and strong… easy to work with. You can see what it looks like in my Little Big Horn Gallery pics 23, 24 and 25 (24 and 25 are the clearest) at link

stretch sprue, then clamp the end to resemble the flights

I used the synthetic bristles from a floor brush on my recent Dark Age chaps …

… you can see one stuck in the shield of the guy in the foreground. There are quite a few pinged around the shieldwall but I confess you miss them in most photos …
