I am not necessarily talking about lining armies up like in DBx (although I guess you could), but, rather, using the mechanics of the rules. I was thinking about zombies as a multitude of hordes, with survivors as heros, shooters, blades, hordes, etc. You could also rate air units and vehicles, as flyers, behemoths, etc. Has anyone else thought of this or given it a go? |

I believe the new edition of HotT has zombiepocalypse amongst the new lists. If I can find my copy, I'll take a peek at it. Doug |

I have done large HOTT games such as the Great War version -- Hordes of the Kaiser -- with 15mm figures on 25mm scale bases, as well as giant 25mm games. I had an idea of doing a "zombie" game in 25mm. I first thought doing with standard 25mm bases would work, but to do a mass game with zombies as hordes would take just too many figures. Then I thought of trying a HOTT "skirmish" game. Each element represents a single (or 2) entity. To this end I mounted 1 or 2 25mm figures on 15mm scale bases. The setting was 1950's-1960's. Zombies were put 2 to a horde size base (30mm by 40mm wide). I also had zombie dogs, so these were done as beasts, 2 to a base. The game had 50 zombie hordes and 25 undead beasts. This is 100 points. Here is picture of a human hero and his beast dog vs some zombies

I am now working on a very large 75mm figure Resident Evil game with single figures on 25mm scale bases. 5 armies on a side. Some of the Umbrella Corp armies are made up of aliens who provided the original T-virus. Pictures next week. |

One would think slow horde elements were designed with zombies in mind. As for the buttocks of death, I used to work for a guy who was 350 pounds if he was an ounce. Nuff said. |

Another idea: zombies as slow hordes, human heroes as fast Blades with firepower like Bow (if they have weapons and ammo). Or something like that. Hmm, wimpy humans with weapons like fast Bow, Michonne is definitely fast Blade or Warband.

The Friday Night HOTT group did a big 7 player zombie game based on Resident Evil movies, with infected creatures and aliens (who work for Umbrella Corp) took on Alice and Clair's group, S.T.A.R.S. and Raccoon City Fire Department. We used 75mm pre-painted plastic German-made figures. Write up to follow, but here is a picture.
