It appears Russia is heavily fortifying Kaliningrad, with fighter jets, missiles, and other weaponry: link |

As the HQ of the Soviet-now-Russian Baltic Fleet, K-grad has always been one of the most militarized locations in Europe. Very likely, the most militarized. Pretty irresponsible to report that Baltic Fleet ships are delivering weapons when it is their home port. There is no real news here, just US sensationalism or Russian attempt to sow fear in the EU & NATO. |

Ah yes, it's the US again, causing all the fear. Vlad is really a good guy, for an ex-KGB member, and……….. |

Or Newsweek having a slow news day. Kaliningrad has always been a heavily armed location going back to the early Cold War days. Screaming the obvious now is like saying grass is green… No news here… Unless you're just itching to start WWIII (and, no thanks to that!). Not everything is a deep, dark malicious plot (unless you're just a paranoid by nature…). |

Given things that have occurred during/under/around the Putin regime, you'd have to be a fool not to worry. Clearly, many in NATO are more than a bit paranoid, for good reason, especially those that have lived under Soviet control. |

If we wanted it, we could simply cut off the power, stop subsidising it and indeed cut it off from the EU. |
