I attended Havoc this past weekend, had the pleasure of having Mike Sammarco and Chris Bonni host a great 25mm ACW game right across from my booth.

They got there the night before and set up all the terrain, then they were back at it around 8:00AM setting up all the figures. They ran their game from the 9:00am till 1:00pm time slot, grabbed a quick lunch, then ran it again from the 2:00pm till 6:00pm slot, it ran a bit late and by the time they packed the game up, it was close to 7:00pm and assuming they both got home around 8:00pm, that's about a twelve hour day.

They play tested the game, then ran it twice, explaining the rules, both of them not actually playing, but assisting the players, being patient and pleasant the whole time, not to mention being on their feet all day long.

It's a total labor of love, giving of their time to allow fellow gamers to play in a fun game, not to mention it's their terrain and figures.

It's gamers like Mike and Chris who are the engine that drives these conventions and without them and others like them, there wouldn't be conventions.

To them and all the other game masters out there, all I can say is thanks to all of you……………..

Well said, George. That was a great looking game and a friend who played in it had a lot of fun.

Good to see you at Havoc.

Good to see you too Dean, best of luck with your convention; oh and by the way, someone at the convention was looking for your phone number…………..;).

I had a great time at the convention too. Kudos to the staff and the GMs who made it all possible.

See you next year!

It is very nice of you George to go to the trouble to post this.

Few people would.

Tom,
I know they work hard at running the games, this past weekend gave me a birds eye view of exactly how hard they work.

And they don't even get to play in the game; it's a selfless act and should be recognized as again, without guys like Chris and Mike, there wouldn't be any games at the conventions…………..

Hey Double G , do you know what rules they were using ?

Double G30 Mar 2015 7:46 p.m. PST

Not sure on the rules, the scenario was out of the Scott Mingus Gettysburg scenarios booklet, 25mm, scenario was Blocher's Knoll……..

Wonder if it was Regimental Fire and Fury ?

Also, kinda disappointed you answered without calling me an 'applehead'. :D
