Walls, buildings, and buildings built against walls, right?

I got a system. It has enough Chinese detail, but is not as fancy as Chinese puzzle kits or aquarium decor. Based on actual buildings in the legations, not on ornate temples and such.

bricks, stone and adobe, with neat roofs, and LOTS of hasty parapets along a variety of walls (some were high walls, others, under 8 feet, with firing holes and cribbing added as support.)

The legation area didn't look a whole lot differwent from old Mehico or In dia during the mutiny, save for the little things.

Battle damage? I would think so, right?

Other than that, mostly a lot of poor hovels, that are kinda universal and generic, with maybe a detail that says "Chinese"?

Tell me, and I will build. :)

Get the old game 55 days of Peking that was in Wargames Illustrated. Get all the needed stuff in there.
Yes if for ex you make different roofs that look less local that can be exchanged for the proper ones, your buildings will be having more use, hence more customers.

Battle damage to the actual legations, not so much, as in this game the little Chinese buildings around were smashed. When I did it in 25, had to try finding anything not too specific I could lay my hand upon, not being a scratch builder. Ended up with lots of nondescript ww2 ruins.

I was hoping Old Glory/Blue Moon would get to the Boxer Rebellion and do their usually great job resulting in both figures and buildings. (Legations, legations, legations)

Legation buildings in pre-battle damage shape. Merchant buildings and churches. Of course Chinese dwellings, but ones suitable for the city, not the countryside. Walls, and perhaps even the Forbidden Palace.

When I asked Connie at Cold Wars about that subject she wasn't very encouraging….
