Polish army needs to acquire new reconnaissance combat vehicle under the Viper program. "The Polish army has launched the procedure to acquire a new long-range reconnaissance combat vehicle, under the program "Viper". According the website Defence24, Polish army could purchase a total of 118 vehicles during the period of 2016 to 2022. The Polish army procurement agency wants a vehicle which have an empty combat weight of less than 1,700 kg and maximum weight with payload of 2,400 kg. The vehicle must have a 4x4 drivetrain able to carry 3 soldiers including driver , commander and gunner. The vehicle must be easily transportable by helicopter of military transport aircraft as the C-130E Hercules and it can be airdropped by parachute. For ballistic and mine threats, the vehicle must provide a protection Level 1 STANAG 4569, including the floor of the chassis…"

They could have kevlar screens, you know-the ones that leak when it rains. I do like the vehicle. |

I hope that there are door and armor panels in the actual design and they are not present here so we can see internals. I like it. Lots of firepower for SOF operations in the Middle East and other conflict areas. |
