link Obviously edited, to fit the Cracked style but seems authentic enough otherwise. Might be a good reminder that the enemy is a lot more human than we like to think. |

Agreed, interesting article. Reminded me of Phred from Doonesbury. |

Of course you posted this ;) As for me, I didn't see anything really groundbreaking, and I was really turned off by whatever at Cracked thought it would be cool to add modern-day slang/humor. Please keep in mind the VC in question was 15 sometime in the 50s, putting him around seventy years old now… I certainly love the idea of 'hearing from the other side,' so I give them an A for effort though. Yah, Cracked has a pretty particular style which can get pretty grating. I guess if it's what it takes to get kids to pay attention, I'll take it. |

I have to side with Jack. The style is just plain ridiculous, but IF they actually based it on an interview with a VC vet, kudos to them |

They've been chasing down all sorts of interesting and unexpected people in the past year or so. I guess it's them trying to take on a bit of investigative journalism, but through their "dudebro" internet verbiage. |

I get weaker, and every minute Charlie squats in the bush, he gets stronger. |

Interesting and irritating at the same time. There's also "The Sorrow of War" by Bao Ninh who was an NVA regular. No "hip" slang involved. |
