Anyone who can enlighten me about the difference between the uniforms for a general de brigade and a general de division in 1815?

Thanks!

For wargame figures it's probably a case of the waist sash.
The GdB had gold with flecks of a lightist blue, whilst the GdD had gold with flecks of red.

and Waterloo the movie got it just right with the sashes……Marshals white and gold (or was the white silver?)……also, the more senior you were, the more likely your chapeau had white rather than black feathers along the brim (well in the film anyway…I have no idea in reality!)

Thanks alot guys! So you could use any generals figure as general de brigade or division? Would a colonel do?

Can't use a Colonel as they don't have a sash and in most cases they wore a shako.

This book's great:

BTW why can't you use a colonel to lead a brigade? Who'd take over if the incumbent was wounded or ill & there was no time to find a general to replace him? I believe a senior regimental officer often got the nod.
