Ummmm, I think there's a typo there, and they meant to say, "Iranian forces". |

Yes, I hope so … but we'll have to wait and see. The US may not want to look like it's supporting the Iranian forces on the ground ? Geo-politics … More than 50 Shades of Grey … |

Where is the Iranian/Iraqi airpower? Yes, I get many of the Iranian aircraft we've seen are nicely done, plastic models, but surely they could commit at least a few of their real birds to the fight, if they really want to win. |

According to CNN last night. The US said they are supporting the Iraq-Iran forces. In their battle to retake Tikrit. But as Tango 2 3 Ditto noted, the bad guys here are Daesh. So I'm for anyone from Boy Scouts with bolt action rifles to a coked up biker gang if they go after Daesh. |

My point is the Iranians have killed far more US people than ISIS ever has. Apparently, there are some concerns that if the current nuke negotiations with them don't go well, the Iranian troops we're supporting in Iraq may attack our US troops there. |

Apparently, there are some concerns that if the current nuke negotiations with them don't go well, the Iranian troops we're supporting in Iraq may attack our US troops there. That would be a distinctly poor decision which could actually start a US-Iran war. |

IF Iran was to directly attack US personell in Iraq, we'd take our licks and then proceed to completely destroy Iran's military infrastructure and probably their nuke research facilities. There are a lot of military assets prepositioned to strike at Iran. |

That is probably true … at least I hope so … |
