Did anyone get in on the limited, 100 run quantity spaceship minis trio set? If so, I'd love to see some pics of them, especially the Gazelle Close Escort. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, I just found out that they offered these late last year. The set includes a 1.5" long Beowulf Trader, 1.5" Gazelle Close Escort, and a 1.25" long Scout/Courier mini. I'd love to know if they will eventually release these for general sale, too. Supposedly, they are super-detailed. |

Resin Beowulfs have shipped; the Scout is still in production and painting to the best of my knowledge. Ad Astra Games and d20 Entertainment are in negotiations about the minis. I REALLY wish I could say more, and when I CAN say more, I think y'all are going to be very happy. I can't say more yet, though. |

Sounds good. Anyone know anything about the resin, non-limited edition minis as well? I ran across a thread on the Traveller website that mentioned them. Someone mentioned that one of the non-limited ships was going to be priced at $50 USD, while the LE vessel was $100. USD There doesn't seem to be any more info about those, and/or when they might become available, which is a shame. |

Finally found out more about these. The project was a scam, run by Ken Whitman, who never paid to have the sculpts, or the minis that were available produced, so run, run far away, if you ever see anything, or any Kickstarter projects by Ken "Whit" Whitman. Ad Astra's minis that are currently available are the same as those Ken was going to offer, less the ones he never paid to have sculpted, but people paid for in advance, e.g. the System Defense Boat and Gazelle Close Escort. He also offered a "Limited Edition" set of resin models, that most people got ripped off on as well, with few people getting the models they prepaid for, and the few that did in many cases receiving sub-par products, poorly cast, or damaged in some way. He's "resold" those to several other retailers, instead of shipping them to the customers that prepaid for them, allegedly. I've seen them listed on eBay, and on a retailer in Kentucky's display cases, as well as all the on-line complaints from backers who paid for them, in some cases more than a year in advance, and never received anything. A pity……… |

"Ken" in this sentence is Ken Whitman, not the owner of Ad Astra Games (also a Ken). Just to prevent any confusion. |

Thanks for adding the clarification, EM. Ad Astra runs a very reputable business, and has nice minis. Ken, or "Whit" Whitman (his pseudonym, not mine – how original), should be avoided like the plague. |
