G'Day Gents,

I would like to buy a regiment worth of Grenadier a Cheval from 28mmm Perry

FN138 Grenadiers a Cheval of the Imperial Guard command in campaign dress, galloping

FN139 Grenadiers a Cheval of the Imperial Guard galloping , in campaign dress, swords shouldered

Does anyone know which company might have 28mm Gendarmes de Elite that are compatible with the Perry brand?

If not…does anyone know of a band that carries 28mmm of both Grenadier a Cheval and Gendarmes de Elite?

Best Regards

The Perrys also do Gendarmes d'Elite with both bearskins and the 1815 crested helmet.

Like the man said….Perrys also do G d'Elite in the surtout with both bearskins and the Restoration helmet.

They are basically modified Dragoons of the Guard…or so I expected. Swap sides with the aigulettes, turn the musket the other way up, stick a peaked bearskin on a dragoon…."easy".

They are actually better proportioned than either the Grenadiers or Dragoons and poses slightly different. You did not mention their Grenadiers in the Bonnet de Police. They are….."unfortunate", let me say, to be tactful….do any of you remember International Rescue puppets and the hats they wore? The very best can occasionally produce a turkey. Perrys rarely do, but………

Watch out for Gringos G d'Elite and also work on the principle that too many Gs d'Elite in any unit is an oxymoron.

Who are the fellows staring up looking for Stukas? Elite is it? Skinny guys but at least they do come with the old coat with the red lapels.

G'Day Gents

It was just brought to my attention that the Perry figure for the Grenadier a chevel are not wearing their usual Imperial Uniform coats with white lapels.

Front Rank does however…what does anyone think of Front Rank?

Bonjour Art,

I've got the Front Rank chaps and they look splendid in their full dress uniforms.

They're a very different style to Perry's though.

There are also full dress Elite chaps which I'm just about to ask a painter to do for me. They're nice "older" style figures but as I have loads of other Elite figures that's not a problem.

Here's the Elite Link:

Sadly no picture though.

In either case as long as you're not trying to mix the different manufacturers offerings in the same unit you should be fine.

Cheers,

Paul
