I would like to suggest a poll to see if we can drum up fifty supporters for a Chaco War forum here on TMP. Heck, if the Carlist War(s) can have one, certainly one of the most interesting of the South American wars NOT on everyone's radar should, too!

C'mon folks, whadda ya say?

Cyrus the Great17 Mar 2015 7:12 p.m. PST

Yes. I'd vote for it.

Robert Burke17 Mar 2015 7:55 p.m. PST

Me too. My buddy and I have gamed it in 15mm several times using "A World Aflame."

I am number 4/50.

Robert Burke--I just decided to try "A World Aflame" with my Chaco stuff. How were your games? Did you customise the random event deck?

Too bad there are many who are no longer active on TMP who used to post about the Chaco…bet if I had done this suggestion three years ago we would have quite the support…but 5 thus far is a heck of a good start!

I've read and own a few books on the Chaco War and think it is a fascinating conflict. Gamed it once using PP 15mm figs actually painted up for another similar era conflict. Don't own any Chaco War figs.
I personally think it's a bit too much a niche war to rate a board but count me in as number 6. I like a lost cause as much as the next guy!

I'll go for it. Figures available from Khurasan and Peter Pig and other manufacturers, one out of print super-expensive reference volume (Green Hell) and an Osprey … a project I've long wanted to start!

I would be for it but I would suggest trying to get a South American board instead. That would then cover War of the Triple Alliance, the War of the Pacific ect.

Anybody know what has happened to Orinoco Miniatures and the excellent Chaco figures? Nothing new since April 2014. Greens of the SMG figures and no sign of the LMG figures. I would like to be in a forum but need figures to do games. Riflemen not enough.

THanks

If this request is granted, then I demand a Franco-Prussian War board be added as well.

Buckeye AKA Darryl21 Mar 2015 6:57 p.m. PST

DW – I would completely support a Franco-Prussian War forum, or even a forum that covered 1848-1871.

A South American forum would be fine, but then would that also include Incans and South American Wars of Independence?

Chaco…Chaco…Chaco!
