My project using figures from the boardgame Risk ( TMP link ) as generic mid 18th century troops has been coming along nicely, over 800 of the little blighters painted up now, there will be some more photos in due course.

Things have now reached a point where I would like to start supplementing these figures. The Risk figures are about 12mm, and will be used for the bulk of my forces for the time being, with metal figures for those units that had more distinctive uniforms, dragoons, grenadiers, grenzers, hussars, and so on, to "morph" the generic figures into armies for the 7YW, AWI, FIW, and any other conflict that takes my fancy.

The Kallistra 12mm AWI range seems to have me pretty well covered for British, American, and Native Americans for that conflict, but no other forces.

I've compared my Risk men to Pendraken's 10mm "New" ACW range, the only 10mm figures I currently possess, and some minifigs 15mm ancients. The 15s are simply too large, the 10s would be just about tolerable, but if there are any ranges out there that come up a little larger I would love to know, or if anyone could point me to some comparison photos for 10mm figures of the period as my searches have been to no avail.

Pendraken's AWI & SYW range match well, my friend has used the Risk figures to supplement these with cheap cavalry
