Congrats, your figures from Dixon look good!

I need to get back to finishing up my Iron Brigade figures, 28mm from Sash & Saber.

Thanks guys, they didn't turn out to bad for blue bellies

GamesPoet, thank you for your kind words. Its just a shame that Dixon don't fit in with other makes to well.

cavcrazy, Dixon do paint up real well and real easy, or maybe its just me. I have painted a few over the years!

Thanks Painter Jim, the blog is still in its early stages! if I had known how easy it was to set up I reckon I would of done it ages ago.

Thanks Disco Joe, I'm afraid the ACW is my true passion and a project that I don't think I will ever complete.

tigrifsgt, there definitely is something about the Iron Brigade even if they are Yankees.

Thanks all for the kind words guys, I just need to finish up what I am working on and then decide what unit of zouaves I'm going to add to my federal forces.

so thanks again guys, keep looking and I will keep posting
cheers for now Russ

If you can get hold of the Osprey "American Civil War Zouaves" it has some great color plates on zouave uniforms. It has my guys on the cover. My favorite, next to mine is the 5th New York in the turbans. Have good day. TIG

Great job on a splendid unit!

TIG I have either the "146th newyork" or the "keystone zouaves" in mind. If I do the the 146th i have "tigers" on both sides. I will do the 5th at some point in the future, I started them many moons ago but I need to strip them and then repaint them! My painting skills have improved since then so it will have to to be a complete repaint. I will look out for the book, you can never have to much reference material.

piper909, thank you also for your kind words. I still have the 7th to do but they may to wait a while longer.

So thanks for looking and for the all the feedback

Cheers for now Russ

tigrifsgt16 Mar 2015 9:25 a.m. PST

I guess the only difference is the turbans and red pants, good call Russ.

GoodOldRebel, thank you for the kind words. It's most welcome.

Thanks TIG, fingers crossed I can do a reasonable job on them! I'm looking forward to making a start. I just need to finish my coloured infantry and then they are good to go.

So keep looking guys and I will keep posting.
Cheers for now Russ
