I have command decision 1986 version and Panzer miniature rules by lost battalion made in 2004 and Panzer pak 1 and 2 expansions. If i were to keep one rule set which one ? Panzer seems rare as in you never see it. Has anyone ever played it ? |

Command Decision still seems pretty popular, though which version varies a bit. Never heard of the other one, and that takes some doing. Any reason not to keep both? |

Really boils down to what scale you want to play, panzer is individual tanks and CD is platoon level stands. I have a preference for CD but even then I am now playing Fistful of Tows instead (which covers WWII very nicely in addition to near modern) |

We've been playing Panzer a bit. It gives a good game, that's surprisingly quick to play, considering the number of charts you have to cross reference. A couple of potential negative points: Panzer is rather marker heavy, and an argument could be made that initiative is too all-or-nothing, considering the scale of the game. I haven't done a full review of the rules, but there's some discussion of the game on my blog at the following links: link link I've never played Command Decision, but like Dynaman said, the two games are at completely different scales. If you're interested in 1:1 detail heavy engagements involving (primarily) armor, Panzer might be your game. |

Panzer miniatures has been redesigned back into a boardgame sold by GMT Games. It has some following there but not as a miniatures game. Played the boardgame version. Played more CD. They are different scale games. In Panzer a tank is a tank. In CD a tank is a company of three tanks. See more CD played. However, you need to check what version you have. I play the latest version. Original version was okay, but middle versions got too complicated and caused people to leave the rules. You need to check your version. |

Panzer and CD are completely different games. I prefer one model equals one vehicle so I prefer Panzer, YMMV. Both are good games but come from different directions of play. Cheers, Gregory |
