Hi, I am familiar with the German number system (company, Platoon, vehicle number). But what about support and divisional support vehicles? is there a number system, would they be numbered 1 to 4 or use no numbers at all? Inquiring minds want to know!

I would suppose support vehicles would likely have unit and tactical symbols

wwiidaybyday.com (Truppenkennzeichen> Taktische Zeichen)

but they would'nt need tactical numbers and would have license plates with the unique vehicle number

Pretty much like tanks, in units that used them, e.g. company number first, followed by platoon number, and then individual vehicle number, so X, Y, and Z, respectively, and listed as XYZ.

Sigwald, that sounds about right. No tactical numbers, then. Thanks!
