I added some support weapons to my nearly finished Soviet forces for Stalingrad. There are a few photos on my blog: link Thanks for reading!

Nice work on these, Alex. It's starting to look a lot like my work, only better. |

More superb eye candy to look at, like the touch of the crates on the bases. |

Thanks Russ, the crates came from Skytrex, I thought they'd add a little touch! |

Yep, you're right they do, the one I refer to in the blog is the German one with a square plate. The spare German one I used rather than buy a new set of Soviet mortars. |

Oops, perhaps I should have read your blog before commenting as it specifically mentions using German mortars. They would have to have a stock of German munitions as well as Soviet 82mm rounds wouldn't fit German 81mm tubes. They worked the other way round apparently, the crafty reds . |

heh, don't sweat it. Yep, I just figured there would be enough captured munitions floating about to justify replacing Soviet with German mortars. Plus it saves me money as no one sells individual 82mm mortars and I'd have to buy a bunch that I have no use for… |
